| Inheritance Tax : - "Inheritance tax is, broadly speaking,...." |
".... a voluntary levy paid by those who distrust their heirs more than they dislike the Inland Revenue" - Lord Jenkins
When you die your estate will have to pay inheritance tax on assets over the nil-rate- band, currently £600,000 for married couples and civil partnerships, remaining at £300,000 per individual, with no effect on couple's who have already taken the appropriate action to protect their dual allowance by other means, for tax year 2007/2008 at the rate of 40% unless you do something about it.
If you are a homeowner, you may well have a problem.
We advise on a variety of means of mitigating inheritance tax, including the use of trusts wills and allowances.
Contact Andrew Burdge for a confidential chat to see if we can help reduce your inheritance tax liability. |
